I started teaching in 2007 after graduating from Tennessee Tech. University.  I have taught in various grades:  first grade (3 years), 3rd grade (14 years), and 6th grade (since 2024).

 

After training in Karate as a young child under Gary Steele, I started training again in 2013.  I have trained under Paul Byars since that time.  I have now been the head instructor over kids karate (6-12 year olds) for over 10 years and the kids jiu-jitsu program for over 6 years.

 

No matter which program your child is enrolled with, I believe in ensuring that they receive education in self defense along with intelligent use of martial arts to develop their confidence throughout their life.
